Wagga Wagga is a great destination for cycling. It is famous, in particular, for Gears + Beers and the Dirty 130 (see photos below). There are, however, 51 other weekends in the year when a visit to Wagga can be paired with some great cycling.
Where to cycle in Wagga? One tip is to modify Gears and Beers routes – this is necessary if following gravel routes as these visit private farms that can only be traversed for the event. There is so much gravel but there are sealed alternates too if you are so inclined.

Junee gravel
Looking for a gravel warm up for Gears and Beers? Or warm down? Or perhaps just an excuse for visiting the chocolate factory!
Wagga to Coolamon
Heading to Coolamon provides heaps of gravel cycling options, plus a Cheese Factory option for lunch!
Wagga to Junee
Ever been to a train roundhouse? Like chocolate? Want some country road cycling? This ride might be for you!
Other recommendations to make it a weekend

Hotel – The Houston
This boutique hotel has beautiful rooms – much nicer that a standard hotel. Pricing varies wildly based upon demand, but it is an easy walk to the brewery and many restaurants.

Brewery – The Thirsty Crow
Just what you need after a ride – an excellent beer or two. Well frequented by cyclists, I can attest to the quality of the beverages, although the menu is not quite as good as it was (brewery now under new management).
